We will be running another Wills promotion throughout February 2026.
The idea is to encourage you to make a Will and help a locally-based charity in the process.
With your assistance, we plan to support Moray Women’s Aid this February.
Since 1987, Moray Women’s Aid (Charity no. SC012866) has been protecting women, children and young people in Moray from domestic abuse and helping them recover safe, stable, independent lives after violence and coercive control.
Domestic abuse affects women and children in every community in Scotland, including Moray and can be physical, emotional, financial or sexual.
Donating enables life-saving crisis support, refuge accommodation and longer-term recovery work that statutory funding alone does not cover.
For February 2026, Grigor & Young LLP will be donating £100 from each fee for Will preparation to Moray Women’s Aid.
This is a great chance for you to help others and, while you are at it, help yourself by getting your affairs in order.
If you don’t have a Will already, you may question whether you really need to make a Will.
Common (mostly, poor) “excuses” for not bothering to make a Will include:
- “I am too young to be doing things like that.”
- “What property is there for me to leave to anyone anyway?”
- “The laws of intestate succession will make sure my estate is divided fairly among my loved ones.”
- “It will just cause a lot of hassle within my family.”
Should you want to consider the pros and cons in more detail, have a look at some of the other articles on our website which cover –
- Why we would encourage every adult person in Scotland to make a Will and why not having a Will is, at best, risky and, at worst, a terrible plan.
- An explanation why a Will makes sound sense not just for your own peace of mind but also to ease and safeguard the financial future of the people most dear to you.
Even if you don’t plan to make or review your Will any time soon, Moray Women’s Aid would still be grateful for your support.
You can donate via Moray Women’s Aid’s website.
Or contact them directly for more details.

If you do decide you want to go ahead with a Will, why not include a charitable donation?
Here’s your chance to decide whether you want to include in your Will a bequest to Moray Women’s Aid or some other charity of your choice.
