Adults With Incapacity

Looking after an adult with incapacity can be challenging and rewarding at the same time, regardless of their age.

As a carer for someone in that position, you need good information and advice on how best to manage their affairs so you can get on with handling the daily care they require.

You will want to make sure the adult’s known wishes are taken into account as far as possible and their independence restricted to the minimum degree. On the other hand, as primary carer, your views are relevant, and you should be involved in the decision-making process.

We appreciate that managing the affairs of a loved one with incapacity can be complex and stressful.

We can provide practical support and help you find the best solution to address the needs of the vulnerable adult.

We provide advice on a wide range of issues in the field of Adults with Incapacity, including –

  • Guardianships
  • Intervention Orders
  • Powers of Attorney

How we can help

If you have concerns about the current or future care of a vulnerable or incapacitated adult, feel free to contact us for a chat regarding your – and their – options.

All initial enquiries are free of charge and without obligation.

Contact a member of our Private Client team on 01343 544077 or send us a Free Online Enquiry.
