As we have done in the past, Grigor & Young LLP will run a Wills promotion in May 2024, intended to encourage you to make a Will and help a local charity in the process.
Would you be willing to support The Ladybird Development Group this May?
For 2024, we have chosen The Ladybird Development Group as our nominated charity.
The Ladybird Group was established in 1985 to provide a service in Lossiemouth for the wider Moray community to care for pre-school children who require additional support in their development.
The centre is managed by volunteers and is a registered charity.
There are currently 15 children attending and the centre can care for up to seven children at each session, offering a high level of support, mainly on a one-adult-to-one-child-ratio.
The manager and eight keyworkers are qualified in teaching or child-care.
Each child has an individual programme with targets to work towards, plus input from various visiting specialists (e.g. physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, early years language support, hearing and visual impairment support, educational psychology, health visitors and social workers).
For May 2024, Grigor & Young LLP will be donating £100 from each fee for Will preparation to the Ladybird Group.
This is your opportunity to help others and, at the same time, help yourself by getting your affairs in order.
If you don’t have a Will already, you may wonder whether it makes any sense to make a Will.
Common “excuses” for not having a Will include:
- “I’m not old enough.”
- “I don’t have anything to leave.”
- “I don’t want to cause friction in my family.”
If you need persuading, you may want to have a look at some of the other articles on our website where –
- We give our reasons why we think every adult in Scotland should have a Will and why not having a Will means there are no guarantees for your loved ones: they may or may not inherit.
- We explain why a Will makes good sense not just for your own benefit but – perhaps more importantly – also for the benefit of the people you love the most.
Whether you decide to make or review your Will now or not, The Ladybird Group would still be grateful for your support.
You can donate via the Ladybird Group’s website.
Or contact them directly for more details.
If you do decide you want to go ahead with a Will, why not include a charitable donation?
It’s your chance to decide whether to include in your Will a bequest to the Ladybird Group or another charity of your choice.
