The Ladybird Development Group, Lossiemouth was Grigor & Young’s nominated charity for 2024.
Quiz Night
On Friday, 26 April 2024, we held a charity quiz night in the Williamson Hall, Duff Avenue, Elgin.
The lead organiser for this event was our estate agency manager, Sharon Thomson, but there was a team of others from within the firm who helped. The quiz night was a fun evening of questions, answers and laughter and the sum raised for the Ladybird Development Group was £645.
Wills promotion
During the month of May 2024, we held a wills promotion whereby £100 from every fee note rendered for work in relation to wills was donated to the Ladybird Development Group.
This raised a total of £5,200 for our nominated charity.
The work generated by the wills promotion month was carried out over a further period of approximately six months. This was because although some people gave initial instructions in May 2024, they did not finalise their decision to proceed with making a will until much later.
Presentation of Wills promotion proceeds cheque
It was possible for us to finalise the donation total in time for Christmas 2024.
Carol Holmes and Suzanne Pirie from our Private Client department visited the Ladybird Group in Lossiemouth on 17 December 2024 in order to present a cheque in the sum of £5,200.
We are glad to have been able to support such a worthwhile charity which provides a lifeline to many local families and children.
