Rightmove and Zoopla

If you market your property through Grigor & Young, as well as including it in the listings on our own website’s Property section, we will arrange for it to be advertised through Rightmove and Zoopla.

Rightmove

Grigor & Young are members of Rightmove, which is an Estate Agency website covering the whole of the UK.

As at January 2013, Rightmove was the 6th most trafficked UK website, placing it higher in the list than the BBC News website.

As at March 2015, its position appeared to be lower (19th) but it still has nationwide reach and engagement. It can provide the ideal virtual “shop window” for your property.

Studies have estimated that 40% of people looking for a house to buy never look anywhere other than online. This is a percentage which is only likely to rise in future.

We get a lot of enquiries about properties we are marketing, via the Rightmove website.

As you might expect, the most popular time for people to look for property online seems to be during the evening.

Typically, anyone who has a question about a property on the market through Grigor & Young will email us – though we do also receive some telephone enquiries (most about arranging to view the property).

The sorts of questions we get about particular properties include:

  • What is the extent of the garden ground?
  • How long has the property been on the market?
  • Can I arrange a viewing?

Zoopla

Grigor & Young are also members of Zoopla, which is a similar property-based website to Rightmove.

Zoopla was launched in 2008 and is one of the UK’s fastest-growing websites.

In terms of the list of the UK’s most popular websites maintained here, at March 2015, Zoopla appears as the 53rd busiest website. Rightmove features at number 19 on the list.
