How have you coped these last few weeks?

We’ve had a lot of ups and downs. What a difference a couple of months make.

We’ve had to embrace a whole new way of living almost overnight.

We face a difficult and uncertain road ahead but there is hope and we will come out the other side of this.

This page contains various resources.

We wanted to share these here because we have found them to be useful and we hope some or all will be helpful to you – and that it will be a help to have them all gathered together in one place.

Local practical help in Moray

Grampian Coronavirus (COVID-19) Assistance Hub’s website was set up to be a focal point for information and assistance for anyone affected by coronavirus anywhere in Grampian. There, you can find the services you need or links to information from across the area. You can access it here.

Health and Safety

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) website contains all current guidelines and measures. It’s probably the best and most trusted source of information during this crisis. Their site contains an extensive library of material best accessed here.

Altered working conditions – with many people who are still working having to do so from home – means that there are added issues beyond concerns for physical health. The restrictions and social distancing measures can lead to stress and depression. The HSE have a specific page devoted to homeworking safety here.

The World Health Organisation is another credible source of information on a global scale, despite what some world leaders may try to persuade you. There’s advice, FAQs and updates here.

Business and Employment

For those of you looking for information on employee/employer payments and schemes, a good place to start is on the UK Government website here.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) – whose sphere of influence also includes Moray – have updates here.

Further information and advice for taxpayers and agents from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is available here.

Housing and property

The First-tier Tribunal for Scotland – Housing and Property Chamber – website home page has links to several updates for landlords whose tenancies are affected by COVID-19 measures – see here.

We can also count ourselves lucky to live in an age where technology shortens the distances between us and allows us not to feel quite so far away from each other.
